Air Travel Talk: TSA PreCheck or Global Entry?

Let’s face it. Air travel is NOT what it used to be. Long gone are the days where First Class was actually a first class experience; Economy is now just how many seats they can cram in the rest of the plane, and how little interaction and service they need to provide. Even having an airline status doesn’t do much for you anymore.

“Revenge” Travel is back…which is what the industry is calling the increased demand for travel now that the pandemic is over. This has brought on increased prices, especially for airfare, along with the fuel costs being high as well. So now you’re paying a pretty penny to get to your destination. And there are a ton of travel issues with delays, crew shortages, cancellations and more. It is a big headache to travel by air!

On top of that, you also have to plan to spend hours before and after your flight. Most domestic airlines want you at the airport 2 hours before your flight. International flights 3 hours ahead of time. Mostly because the TSA screening lines can get reallllllly long at times. (Travel tip: best days to travel are Tuesdays and Wednesdays – flights are less crowded which means so are the airports!)

How many times have you gotten to the airport and cringed (or cursed!) when you saw how long the TSA line is? At least once for most everyone reading this, I’m sure! So how can you not waste time in those lines?

Travel Tip: TSA PreCheck and Global Entry can save you precious time and hassle at the airport!

What Is TSA PreCheck ✅ ?

With TSA PreCheck, you can zip through security like a pro. No more taking off your shoes, belts, or jackets. Leave your laptop and liquids in your bag. It’s that easy! Plus, TSA PreCheck lanes are often shorter and move faster, giving you more time to relax before your flight.

What Is Global Entry 🌎 ?

If you frequently travel internationally, Global Entry is the way to go. Not only do you get all the benefits of TSA PreCheck, but you also breeze through customs and immigration when returning to the U.S. No more long lines or time-consuming forms. Simply use the Global Entry kiosks, scan your passport and fingerprints, and you’re good to go! It’s like having a VIP pass for international travel.
