It’s About the Details

I have been trying to make posts every week…but last week I was a bit distracted. We were heading to Happy Valley, PA to visit our junior and senior daughters at Penn State University, and to attend the famous White Out football game on Saturday night. We also hosted a tailgate – and could not have asked for better weather to enjoy all day! But as a result, I was planning everything out, running to the stores, stocking up, baking, cooking, prepping and packing to host a tailgate for friends, our girls and their friends.

It reminded me that with any event you want to make memorable, there is considerable planning needed. Research. Discussion. Preparing. And planning a great vacation is no different. This is why I became a Travel Advisor. One of my gifts is organization and planning – and I usually spend a lot of time making sure whatever it is I’m going to do will be as perfect as I can make it. That includes making lists and bringing it with me to make sure I have everything, and then also to make sure I brought everything back after packing up! Here’s part of my list from this weekend:

While planning an all day tailgate requires a lot of attention, planning a dream vacation requires more. There are many more moving parts when creating an itinerary that meets one’s expectations. From flights, layovers, transfers, hotels, resorts, tickets…it is just a lot. Someone who is prepared, has access to offers, itineraries, tour operators, venues, and others with more expertise than their own, well, is priceless. And will go to bat for you when there is an issue. All of that adds up to one great vacation and experience. So reach out to me and let’s talk about where you can go next!!

By the way, the Penn State White Out is something to experience for sure! There is a reason they call it the Greatest Show in college sports. We had a great time, great seats, and cheered for a great game! We Are!!
