Travel is mostly wide open now. Most countries, airlines, and cruise lines have dropped covid requirements and even testing! The world is open again …where will you go next? And how will you experience it?
Starting to plan a great vacation takes some thought. For some, having a set budget is necessary, and if so, that should be established first. Your budget will then control where you can go, what you can do, how you can get there, and how long you can stay.
Second, you should create a list of where you want to visit. Maybe seeing and ascending to the top of the Eiffel Tower is on your bucket list. Or relaxing in an over-the-water villa in Bora Bora is a dream vacation. Shredding some fresh powder in the Rocky Mountains or Alps sound good? Or an All-Inclusive – whether a Caribbean resort or a luxury cruise ship – next on your list? How about seeing the Northern Lights and swimming in a natural hot springs in Iceland? You’ll need to come up with a list of options.
Next you’ll need to decide on when you want to travel. Timing can be determined by your destination – skiing the Rockies can only happen between Nov-April; Northern Lights in Iceland is best Sept-March. Seeing London decked out in Holiday lights is best, well, at the holidays!
Finally, what you actually want to do on your vacation needs to be identified. Swim in a cenote in Mexico? Climb the Tower of Pisa? Do a secret Foodie Tour? Your activities and itinerary should be roughly sketched out if there are must-do items, or else I can certainly suggest some great activities!
If you are drawing complete blanks, but know you don’t want to wait much longer to plan a trip that you will be very much looking forward to, contact me! Sure, you can Google your own travel plans. Buy that Costco Vacation package. And you may get a great deal doing that. But you won’t get personalized service, suggestions, what to do, what to avoid, how to enjoy your destination, and a partner to help you if and when things go wrong! Try calling Costco Travel if your flight is delayed and you might not make it to your cruise in time to embark. Or call Expedia if the ‘included’ airport transfer is no where to be found at the airport. Personal service is priceless, and what you get when you use a Travel Advisor, along with access to vast knowledge and experience, amazing perks and packages not available in a Google search. And using a Travel Advisor will (most likely) not cost you any more than what you found in your online search results! So Contact Me when you are ready to start planning your next great adventure!
